We All Been There (or at least now,) What Is A TikTok?
You aren’t new to social media but your friends want to make a TikTok, or maybe you’re just trying to catch up on the new slang and/or news. Of course, when everyone first heard of TikTok they automatically thought of the time and/or the clock. Well, hate to break it to you but TikTok is a video streaming application that you can download on either iPhone or Samsung/Android, you tried. TikTok is the new Musical.ly and/or Vine. If you don’t know what those applications are, well they’re exactly like TikTok. Still confused? Good, I’m not done yet. Keep reading.

The Purpose Of TikTok
TikTok is an application to share videos. People share videos from all around the world. People may post singing/rapping covers, dancing videos, lip-syncing, comedy-like videos, vacation videos, etc. The list goes on and on. The most popular uploaded category is humor. TikTok is widely known for humorous videos that have been shared.
Is TikTok Only Used By Teenagers?
No. TikTok is very diverse when it comes to anything. You could be sixty years old and be the most viewed user on that app. You could be three weeks old and be famous only because you smiled at the camera. Age does not affect your videos nor does effort, that baby is more known than you.
How To Create A TikTok
There are many ways you can create a TikTok. There are sounds/recordings already uploaded onto the application that you can use for your videos or you can create your own sound. You can create a TikTok within minutes. Got a weird talent or some kind of talent you want to share with the world? Share it! This was a very timely post! TikTok seems to be popping up more and more in my feed (recently, Reese Witherspoon made a TikTok video with the assistance of her son and it gained traction online). A few months ago, a fitness place I attend announced it had a TikTok account and then they posted a video that seemed to loop. I didn’t understand what was going on and didn’t investigate TikTok further. The club doesn’t seem to encourage people to visit their TikTok site anymore, so it appears like they abandoned it and are focusing their efforts on engagement on their Facebook and Instagram accounts. I read up a little bit about TikTok back then, and noticed it was very popular in China but use was growing quickly in North America. The fitness club’s brief experiment into TikTok is a good example of why a business needs to have a social media strategy and have a plan before they announce they have a new account on a platform that many of their clients are unfamiliar with. Thanks for making TikTok less mysterious to us!
I just recently heard about TikTok a couple of weeks ago. I seen videos and posts on social media platforms but had no idea that it was its on app. This blog gives a good understanding of what the app is all about and good to know that you are able to create your own videos using the app!
That’s really true i am crazy about this new application TikTok. i use to make videos and it has nice features and you can edit and create slow-mo, transitions, cultural, non-cultural videos at anytime. I love that application.
