Telemarketing has been around for a way longer time than social media did. But social media have a big impact on the way telemarketing used to work.
First big change social media did was to give telemarketing several different platforms instead of just radio and television. It made telecommunications companies even more huge by putting them to a global stage. The companies are not just limited to just one area.
Secondly, Social media provided a face to every voice and vice-versa. New inbuilt filters empowers the user to manipulate the content as they want. The user can change the whole theme of their wish, colour it as they want.
Lastly, one of the major impact that I found was the insight and stats help via the platforms itself. Getting righteous feedback from the audience is so important that it can helping in building a local brand to a multinational company.
