  1. That looks so cool, I would love to go on such an experience, the sea water is so clear and tempting to swim at. At what time of the year do you recommend visiting such fantastic place?

    • Thank you so much for your feedback πŸ™‚ The water is absolutely breathtaking and truly paradise! The summertime is very, very hot in Exuma and if you are like me and prefer cooler temperatures, I definitely suggest to go in January, February or March. In all honesty, you can go all year round to Exuma whenever you’d like. There is always beautiful weather, rain sometimes, and a cool breeze. I prefer to go when its cooler temperatures back home so that I can escape the cold, cold weather. I usually go between January and April and sometimes in the summer but its what you can tolerate weather wise πŸ™‚ I can’t do the hot, hot heat πŸ™‚

      Hope this helps! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Kira,

This is very engaging and well-written. Looks like quite the trip of the lifetime. I love how you incorporated several digital media components to intrigue the reader (ie; Youtube and photography). I find adding in those different media elements break up the text in a blog to make it more reader-friendly.

    Thanks,
    Desiree

    • Hi Desiree,

Thank you so much for your response! I am so glad you enjoyed my blog! It was most certainly a trip of a lifetime πŸ™‚ Where is your favourite place to travel or that you have been to? I would love to hear about it!
And I couldn’t agree more about adding more digital media components.

Thank you so much for your feedback πŸ™‚

  3. Hi, thanks to you, ive added this place to my bucket list, what a magical place and there is nothing better than hanging out in nature with people and animals. Clever idea in using your video within your blog, i admire that and why not a full blown wall with the pic of the beach! I’m looking forward to reading more of your blogs, all the best,

    • I am so happy to hear you have added Exuma to your bucket list. It will not disappoint you. It truly is a slice of paradise. I couldn’t agree more with you that there is nothing better then exploring nature and all it has to offer- including the animals.

Thanks again for your comment and I look forward to reading your blog posts also.

  4. hi there,

this is an amazing blog post, thanks for sharing. I admire your courage to go in front of the camera to do it – I will need to gather some courage to do that.
This definitely seems like an amazing trip; when I was listening to your story and your excitement of living through all these new exciting experiences, it very much reminded me of a trip to India I took a few years back. Like yours, my trip was out of this world and surpassed all my expectations. I drank coconut water from a coconut, met incredibly nice and kind people, who had so little, yet were so kind and genuine, rode elephants and drank tea up in the mountains in a tea plantation…
Trips like that make you feel alive; make you feel like you are touching the true reason we live for, the row reality and truly transform us forever.
I am really glad you were able to enjoy this trip and even more, share it with us!
    Thank you!

    • Hi Mariya,

Thank you so much! I was very nervous to go in front of the camera and had to re-do the video several times however it pushed me out of my comfort zone which I think was really good for me because it gave me some confidence. I have a feeling you would be a natural in front of the camera πŸ™‚

Your trip to India sounds absolutely amazing. A trip of a lifetime! I bet it was incredible seeing a new culture, meeting new people, trying new food and of course spending time with the precious elephants! Thank you so much for sharing and I would love to hear more about your India trip!!

  5. So amazing! I will most certainly make β€œswimming with the pigs” a bucket list item. Right along with meeting a cassowary, and helping out at a wombat rescue! I am happy to say that I have swam with sea turtles in Bermuda, and watched them all β€œfly” under my paddle board within close proximity. Thanks for sharing your wonderful vacation with us!

    • You definitely should! It is such a cool experience to see the pigs on their own island swimming and splashing around! I’m sure you had a great time paddle boarding watching the sea turtles swim beneath you. Amazing!! Paddle boarding is a hobby I just started at my cottage. Let’s just say I have fallen in the water quite a few times! Thanks for sharing your bucket list with me πŸ™‚
